FRSC Returns ₦3.7 Million to Kaduna Crash Victims

On March 15, 2026, a fatal road crash occurred along the Zaria-Funtua highway near Zaria Academy, involving a Toyota Corolla and a Peugeot 806 that carried nine passengers. Following a distress call, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) responded swiftly, providing immediate first aid and evacuating the injured victims to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Shika for urgent medical attention.

During the post-crash clearance operation, FRSC personnel discovered a large sum of money totaling ₦3,727,500 and valuables worth ₦500,000 scattered across the crash site. The Zaria unit command, led by Chief Route Commander Nasiru Falgor, formally returned the recovered cash to the victims in the presence of witnesses.

FRSC Corps Marshal Shehu Moham commended the officers for their integrity and discipline, emphasizing that the act reflects the organization's values of honesty and accountability. The beneficiaries expressed relief and gratitude for the return of their hard-earned money.
