Fubara Supports Tinubu's 2027 Re-election Bid

On Thursday, during an open meeting with the Southern Nigeria Traditional Ruler Council in Port Harcourt, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term in 2027. Fubara called for national support to sustain ongoing reforms and development efforts across various sectors of the economy.

He described Tinubu as a dedicated and patriotic leader committed to implementing bold policies. Fubara emphasized the importance of unity among southern states to overcome challenges and achieve shared national goals.

He highlighted the need for collaboration in agriculture, trade, and industrialization to unlock new opportunities and promote peace and security. Fubara also noted the role of traditional rulers in fostering local peacebuilding efforts and urged them to leverage their influence for societal stability.

The meeting aimed to promote peace, cohesion, and the relevance of traditional institutions in modern governance, with notable attendees including council chairman Adeyeye Ogunwusi and co-chairman Cletu Ilomuanya.
