Fasoranti Backs Tinubu for Second Term, Eyes Senate Seat

On April 15, 2026, Taiwo Fasoranti, the immediate past Secretary to the Ondo State Government, publicly endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term, asserting that no one has been left behind under his administration. Fasoranti highlighted the noticeable progress made in various sectors, particularly in the economy and foreign exchange market, despite the prevailing challenges.

He emphasized that security issues are not unique to Nigeria and expressed confidence in Tinubu's renewed hope agenda, which he believes is yielding positive results. Additionally, Fasoranti confirmed his intention to contest for the Ondo Central senatorial district seat in the 2027 general elections, driven by a desire to provide quality representation and effective leadership.

He commended the current Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for the steady development of the state. Fasoranti, who has a background as a medical doctor and has worked at the presidential villa for 15 years, resigned from his position as SSG on April 3, 2024, to pursue his senatorial ambitions.
