River State Governor Declares Immediate Employment for Children of Fallen Heroes

River State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has directed the immediate employment of children of fallen heroes as part of measures to support families of deceased servicemen. The announcement was made during an Armed Forces Remembrance Day ceremony held at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

The governor emphasized the state government's commitment to the welfare of the armed forces and security agencies. Efforts to boost operational capacity and support military operations, particularly in counter-insurgency efforts in the North East, were highlighted.

The Nigerian Legion also expressed appreciation for the initiative.
