Fubara Dissolves Rivers State Executive Council

On Thursday, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council, as communicated by Chief Press Secretary Onwuka Nzeshi. This decision is part of Fubara's recent reconciliation efforts with his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.

The dissolution is intended to pave the way for the consideration of new council members who are loyal to Wike. Fubara has directed that the commission of special advisers and permanent secretaries, as well as senior officials in the ministries, be informed of this change with immediate effect.

In his statement, Fubara expressed his deepest appreciation for the outgoing members of the Executive Council and wished them the best in their future endeavors. This move signifies a strategic shift in the governance of Rivers State as Fubara seeks to align his administration more closely with Wike's loyalists.
