Rivers State Governor Dissolves Cabinet, Replaces Political Appointees with Civil Servants

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has dissolved the state's cabinet with immediate effect, directing outgoing political appointees to hand over responsibilities to senior civil service officials. The announcement was made in a statement signed by the new Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, on a Thursday evening.

Governor Fubara thanked the departing officials for their service and contributions to the state administration, wishing them well in their future endeavors. The dissolution of the cabinet followed a meeting between Governor Fubara and other political figures, including Nyesom Wike and Bola Tinubu, in Abuja.

The move signifies a significant restructuring within the state government.
