Rivers State Governor Revokes N134bn Contract, Orders Refund of N20bn Mobilization Fee

Governor Fubara of Rivers State has revoked a N134 billion contract awarded by the former sole administrator, Ibok Et Iba, under emergency rule. The contract was canceled due to lack of due process, with a directive for the immediate refund of N20 billion mobilization fee already paid to the contractor.

The State Executive Council, during a meeting held at the Government House in Port Harcourt, also approved the revalidation of bids for four contracts, including renovation and construction projects in various local government areas. Dr.

Austin Ezekiel Hart, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works, was instrumental in the revalidation process.
