Ehi and Iyayi Deny 2027 Governorship Ambitions in Rivers

Edison Ehi, the immediate past Chief of Staff to Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and Boma Iyayi, Executive Director of Finance and Administration at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), have publicly denied any intentions to run for the Rivers State governorship in the 2027 elections. Their clarification came in response to a poster circulating online that featured their images alongside Dakuku Peterside, a former Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

Ehi described the poster as a "mischievous" and "misleading" representation, asserting that it was unauthorized and lacked any political arrangement. Both Ehi and Iyayi emphasized their continued loyalty to Governor Fubara and their commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), urging the public to disregard the misleading claims.
