Ben Murray-Bruce Among 47 Disqualified from APC Race

Ben Murray-Bruce, a former senator representing Bayelsa East, is among 47 candidates disqualified from the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial race for the upcoming 2027 general elections. The announcement was made public on a Monday through a press statement signed by Felix Morka, the APC's National Publicity Secretary.

The statement indicated that the screening exercise was conducted by the party's screening committee, following established procedural guidelines. Notably, the River West senatorial district had the highest number of disqualified aspirants, totaling four.

Additionally, Zamfara State recorded a significant number of disqualifications, with seven aspirants failing to secure clearance. The APC did not provide specific reasons for the disqualifications affecting the candidates.
