Kano Governor Approves New Appointments and Promotions After Defection to APC

Kano Governor Abba Yusuf has made new appointments and promotions in various government institutions following his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The appointments, announced by spokesperson Sunusi Dawakin Tofa, include Abubakar Matawal as the Acting Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrim Welfare Board and Rahama Alhaji as the Provost of the Anti-Corruption Institute.

Aina U. Ad was elevated to Special Assistant to the Senior Special Assistant on Kannywood Affairs.

The appointments aim to enhance government service delivery and are effective immediately. Additionally, Abdulkadir Kankarofi was appointed as Special Adviser on Humanitarian Affairs.

Amina Sani and Aminu have joined the APC, while Ibrahim Waiya and Amina Hod have aligned with the Kano First ideology. The defection has led to the resignation of other loyal senators, affecting various sectors.
