IGP Disu Redeploys AIGs, Appoints Jimoh to Lagos Command

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Olutunji Disu, has approved the redeployment of several senior officers within the Nigeria Police Force. This includes the reassignment of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Moshood Jimoh to Zone 2 Command in Lagos.

Other notable postings include AIG Ado Emmanuel to the Department of Research and Planning at Force Headquarters, AIG Joseph Eribo to the Armament Department, and AIG Miller G. Dantaway to Operations.

The reshuffle is part of a strategy to enhance the operational efficiency of the police force following recent promotions. Moshood Jimoh, who was promoted to the rank of AIG after a written examination and oral interview at the police headquarters in Abuja, is expected to assume his new role in February 2025.

The redeployment also reflects ongoing efforts to optimize the police's strategic roles within the force, with Jimoh previously seeking a position in the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID) but was reassigned to Zone 2 Command instead.
