Funke Akindele's 'The Four' Set for December Release

Funke Akindele, a prominent Nollywood actress and filmmaker, is preparing for the release of her latest feature film, "The Four: No One Fights Alone," scheduled to hit cinemas on December 11, 2026. The film will be distributed by FilmOne Entertainment and is produced through her production company, Funke Akindele Network (FAAN TV).

Akindele has assembled a notable cast, including Richard Mofe-Damijo, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Waje, Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, and others. "The Four" is an emotionally driven drama that delves into themes of friendship, motherhood, resilience, and the strength of ordinary women, focusing on the story of Esosa and three loyal women. The film aims to reflect Nigerian society and everyday relationships while incorporating elements of music, fashion, and tradition.

Akindele's previous December releases have significantly impacted her success, with her 2023 film "A Tribe Called Judah" grossing ₦1.4 billion, followed by "Everybody Loves Jenifa" in 2024 at ₦1.88 billion, and "Behind The Scenes" in 2025 at ₦2.76 billion.
