FUPRE Matriculates 2,390 Students with Emphasis on Discipline and Innovation

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE) urged discipline and innovation as the university matriculated 2,390 students for the 2025/2026 academic session. During the ceremony, Professor Chiedu Uwabor, representing the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ezekiel Agbalagba, emphasized the importance of embracing discipline and innovation for academic excellence.

The event marked the transformational academic journey for the new students, with a focus on character development and academic pursuit. The Vice-Chancellor reiterated FUPRE's commitment to maintaining a zero-tolerance policy towards cultism, drug abuse, and other forms of misconduct.

The matriculation also celebrated the admission of pioneer students into new programs like Petroleum Administration and Management, highlighting the university's expansion of academic and professional scope.
