FUOYE Vice Chancellor Highlights Achievements Ahead of 10th Convocation

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), Prof. Abayomi Fasina, presented the institution's accomplishments in preparation for its 10th convocation ceremony.

Under his leadership, FUOYE experienced a 310% increase in international revenue, expanded academic programs, and enhanced its national and global standing over the past five years. The university grew from eight to 18 faculties, introduced new programs, and ranked fourth in Nigeria in the Times Higher Education 2026 ranking.

FUOYE undertook 160 infrastructure projects, attracted research grants, and established new colleges in medicine, cybersecurity, and data science. A total of 7,396 graduands will be awarded degrees at the convocation, with Adeniyi Maryam Adedolapo emerging as the best student with a CGPA of 4.89.

Prof. Fasina's tenure has seen the fulfillment of the institution's 20-point agenda, positioning FUOYE as a competitive and innovative institution ready for sustained growth.
