Fury Cancels Joshua Fight, Calls Out Usyk for Trilogy

Tyson Fury declared on social media that his highly anticipated fight with Anthony Joshua is off, while simultaneously calling out Oleksandr Usyk for a potential trilogy fight. This announcement comes after ongoing negotiations regarding the fight's venue, with Joshua's contract stipulating that the bout must occur in the United Kingdom.

In contrast, it remains unclear if Fury's contract has similar stipulations. Promoters, including Sela and Netflix, have advocated for the fight to be held in the United States, specifically at Madison Square Garden on November 20, believing it would attract a larger audience.

Joshua and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, have pushed for the fight to take place at Wembley Stadium, following a public appeal from London Mayor Sadiq Khan. Despite Fury's announcement, no official confirmation has been made regarding the Joshua fight, and speculation continues that the November date in New York could still proceed.

Fury also challenged Usyk, who previously defeated him in their two meetings in 2024, to a fight, stating, "The ball is now in your court.".
