NUC Approves 34 Programmes for FUSTECH Admissions

The National Universities Commission (NUC) approved 34 undergraduate programmes for the Federal University of Science and Technology, Epe (FUSTECH), enabling the institution to commence admissions for the 2026/2027 academic session. The NUC set a quota of 50 students per programme, resulting in a total intake capacity of 1,700 students.
The approval was communicated in a letter dated October 23, 2026, signed by NUC Executive Secretary Prof. Abdullahi Ribadu. This followed a resource verification exercise assessing the university's capabilities.
The programmes span five faculties: Computing and Informatics, Engineering, Allied Health Sciences, Management Sciences and Technology, and Science. The Faculty of Engineering received approval for ten programmes, while the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences has seven.
FUSTECH, established in November 2025, currently shares facilities with the Lagos State University (LASU) at its Epe campus, a temporary arrangement until FUSTECH relocates to its permanent site. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kazeem Oshikoya stated the university is prepared to begin its first admission exercise.
