FUT Minna Senate Votes No Confidence in Pro Chancellor

On March 25, 2026, during its 518th meeting held at the Gidan Kwanu campus, the Senate of the Federal University of Technology Minna passed a vote of no confidence in Pro Chancellor Dr. Santuraki.

This decision stemmed from his inability to adequately defend the university's interests amid ongoing disputes over land ownership of the Bosso Campus, which has been a contentious issue for 40 years. The Senate expressed dissatisfaction with the Pro Chancellor's handling of the situation and resolved that the Bosso Campus would neither be ceded to the Niger State government nor co-shared with the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University in Lapai.
