G100 Coalition of Opposition Parties Launches Action Plan

The G100 coalition, comprising six opposition parties, convened a summit in Abuja to discuss cooperation and coordination for the upcoming 2027 general elections. Following the summit, a Central Leadership Committee was formed to implement the resolutions agreed upon.

The committee, represented by Salihu Lukman, emphasized operational principles based on equality and mutual respect among the parties. The chairmanship of meetings will rotate alphabetically among the parties.

The committee is tasked with activating various subcommittees, including the Publicity Committee and Legal Committee, and five Working Groups aimed at developing frameworks for opposition cooperation. All parties are required to submit nominees to the Secretariat by September 18, 2026, with the Working Groups expected to commence work the week of September 21-27, 2026.

The committee also plans to expand the coalition to include other interested opposition parties and will reconvene on September 23 to establish a regular meeting schedule.
