Super Eagles Coach Chelle Clears Up Osimhen Transfer Rumors
Eric Chelle, the head coach of the Super Eagles, clarified his earlier comments about Victor Osimhen's potential departure from Galatasaray, asserting that the Nigerian striker is content at the Turkish club. Chelle stated that his previous remarks were misinterpreted and did not imply that Osimhen wanted to leave or should move to another club.
This clarification followed Nigeria's 3-3 draw with Russia in an international friendly in Nizhny Novgorod. Chelle praised Osimhen, calling him one of the best forwards globally and acknowledged that transfer speculation is common for players of his caliber.
He reiterated that his earlier comments should not be seen as an indication of Osimhen's desire to transfer. The coach's statements aimed to dispel the controversy surrounding his initial remarks and reaffirm that Osimhen is happy at Galatasaray, with no request for a transfer being made.
