Eric Chelle Clarifies Victor Osimhen's Commitment to Galatasaray

Eric Chelle, the head coach of Galatasaray, addressed the circumstances surrounding Victor Osimhen's decision to stay with the club amid interest from top European teams like Arsenal and Barcelona. Chelle clarified that his previous comments during the June international window had been misrepresented, emphasizing that Osimhen's happiness in Turkey is authentic.

Despite speculation regarding Osimhen's future, he has performed well, scoring six goals in all competitions before an injury affected his progress. Chelle also explained that Osimhen's absence from the Super Eagles squad was due to an agreement with Galatasaray, which allowed him to join the national team contingent if he regained match fitness.

Osimhen was initially included in the squad list as his recovery timeline was uncertain at the time. Chelle's clarification aims to dispel any notions of a rift between Osimhen, Galatasaray, and the Super Eagles, as the striker focuses on returning to full fitness for upcoming international fixtures.
