Abdulaziz Ganduje Joins NDC, Seeks Reps Seat in Kano

Abdulaziz Ganduje, the eldest son of former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, has officially joined the NDC and has picked up nomination forms to contest for the House of Representatives seat in the Dawakin Tofa/Rimin Gado Federal Constituency. Despite his father's influential role in the APC, Abdulaziz has aligned himself with the Kwankwasiyya Movement, a political faction led by Rabiu Kwankwaso, indicating a significant shift in his political allegiance.

This decision comes after a long-standing rivalry between his father and Kwankwaso, whose political relationship deteriorated over the years. Abdulaziz's political journey has been marked by controversies, including disputes involving his mother, Professor Hafsat Umar Ganduje, related to allegations of financial misconduct with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

He is contesting for the seat previously sought by his brother, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, who lost to an NNPP candidate in the 2023 elections.
