Ganduje's Son Joins NDC for House of Reps Election

Abdulaziz Umar Ganduje, the eldest son of former All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has officially entered the race for the House of Representatives by securing the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket. He obtained the party's nomination form on Saturday to contest the Dawakin Tofa/Rimin Gado federal constituency seat in Kano State ahead of the next general elections.

This move has sparked renewed political discussions in Kano, particularly due to his long-standing association with the Kwankwasiyya political movement, led by former Kano governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. Despite his father's prominent role in the APC, Abdulaziz has maintained his political alignment with Kwankwaso's camp.

A video surfaced online showing him meeting with Kwankwaso to discuss preparations for the upcoming contest, which has generated significant reactions within Kano's political circles. This development is seen as a major twist in the rivalry between the Ganduje and Kwankwaso camps, especially as Abdulaziz's political leanings have become increasingly evident in recent years.
