Ganduje’s Son Joins NDC for 2027 House Race in Kano

Abdulaziz Umar Ganduje, the son of former All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has announced his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Dawakin Tofa and Rimin Gado Federal Constituency in Kano State during the 2027 elections.

He will be running under the New Democratic Congress (NDC), which signifies a notable departure from his family's historical alignment with the APC. This decision comes as Abdulaziz engages with Dr.

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, to expand his political network within the NDC. A video circulating on social media shows Abdulaziz publicly confirming his alignment with Kwankwaso.

Political analysts suggest that his entry into the race will intensify competition in the constituency, which is expected to be a high-stakes contest against the APC candidate, as the 2027 elections approach.
