Gwarzo Picks Kwankwaso's Son as Running Mate for 2027

Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the governorship candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kano State, has announced Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso as his running mate for the upcoming 2027 governorship elections. This decision was confirmed by Habibu Saleh, the spokesperson for the Kwankwasiyya movement, following a meeting of the NDC caucus held at the residence of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in Kano.

Gwarzo's selection of Mustapha Kwankwaso, who recently resigned from his position as the immediate past Commissioner for Youth and Sports, is based on his track record as a successful businessman and his service in the Kano State Commission. Mustapha Kwankwaso expressed gratitude for the nomination and assured the party of his commitment to contributing to its success in the forthcoming elections.
