Islamic Group Urges Global Muslim Unity for Palestine

During a public lecture commemorating the 2026 International Qud Dai in Ilorin, Kwara State, the Islamic group Al Harakatul Islamiyyah, led by Abdulrazzaq Abdulwahab Al Amin Aladodo, condemned the global Muslim community for their complacency regarding the Palestinian situation. Aladodo highlighted the significance of Masjid Al Aqsa as the third holiest site in Islam and criticized the ongoing injustices faced by Palestinians, particularly in light of the recent Middle East conflict, including the October 7, 2023 attack.

He called on the Nigerian government to adopt a stronger position against Israel, moving beyond mere calls for ceasefire to openly condemning Israel's actions, which he described as human rights violations. Aladodo also appealed to Muslim nations to prioritize humanitarian support for Palestinians over internal divisions.

Sheik Abubakar Olori emphasized the need for unity among Muslims and adherence to Islamic principles in addressing the situation.
