Islamic Movement Calls for Action on Gaza Crisis

During the Quds Day commemorations held in Ilorin, the Islamic Movement, represented by Amir Mallam Abdulrazzaq Abdulwahab Aladodo, urged action concerning the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the situation involving Iran. Aladodo highlighted the suffering of Palestinians and criticized the United Nations for failing to uphold Islamic principles.

He emphasized the significance of Masjid Al-Aqsa as the third holiest site in Islam and called for the Nigerian government to take a firm stance on the Middle East crisis, condemning Israel's actions and the complicity of the United States. The group also criticized the Abraham Accord, viewing it as detrimental to Palestinian interests, and warned that disunity among Muslim nations risks sidelining the Palestinian issue.

Sheikh Abubakar Olori cautioned against internal criticism among Muslim countries and stressed the need for solidarity. The event took place amid renewed tensions in the Middle East, reflecting ongoing global concerns about the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
