Gbajabiamila Commends Wike for Boosting Abuja's Retail Sector

Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, commended Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), for creating an enabling environment for private businesses to thrive in Abuja. This acknowledgment came during the signing of a franchise agreement between Hyperc Nigeria and Carrefour, a French retail chain, on Tuesday.

Gbajabiamila described the collaboration as a significant step towards boosting Nigeria's economy and emphasized Wike's role in facilitating this landmark partnership. He noted that the agreement represents a commitment to reshaping Abuja's economic landscape and signals Nigeria's potential as a premier investment destination in Africa.

Sunni Chawla, Managing Director of Hyperc, highlighted that the partnership aims to drive investment, create jobs, and expand market access for local suppliers. The initiative is expected to promote modern retail development across Nigeria, with plans to open new stores in major cities, including Abuja and Lagos.
