Adamu Abubakar Wins APC Reps Ticket in Niger State

Adamu Abubakar, the son of former Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar, emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Chanchaga Federal Constituency in Niger State. The primary election, held on Saturday, saw Abubakar garner 30,650 votes, decisively defeating his nearest competitor, Mr.

Nmaa Ahm, who received 1,271 votes. Another candidate, Mr.

Shuaibu Mairago, secured 311 votes. The election was conducted across 11 wards in the constituency, and the results were officially declared, confirming Abubakar as the APC candidate for the upcoming 2026 House of Representatives election.

Additionally, in the Lapai Federal Constituency, Mr. Ibrahim Usman was announced as the winner of the APC primary election with 8,559 votes, while Alhaji Abdullahi Mahmud and Mr.

Sadiqu Mustapha received 395 votes and Mr. Mahawiya Yusuf received 247 votes, respectively.

The election in Lapai was conducted across 10 wards.
