Yusuf Buhari Wins APC Reps Ticket in Katsina Primary

Yusuf Buhari, the son of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary for the Sandamu, Daura, and Mai Adua federal constituency in Katsina State. The primary election took place on a Saturday, where Yusuf Buhari received 6,386 votes, defeating his opponent Auwal Daura, who garnered 322 votes.

The exercise involved 21,855 registered voters, with 6,837 delegates accredited and 6,708 votes cast. The APC officials supervising the process described it as peaceful and transparent, reflecting the will of the party members in the constituency.

The outcome has generated significant reactions within political circles, indicating the enduring political influence and goodwill associated with the Buhari name in the region. As of the time of reporting, Ibrahim, the supervising official, had not provided further comments on the outcome.
