Mamudu Wins APC Ticket for 2027 Elections in Niger

Muhammad Dzwafu Mamudu won the APC primary election for the Lapai Federal Constituency, securing 17,410 votes, significantly ahead of his closest challenger, Sadiq Mustapha, who received 436 votes. Mamudu defeated six other aspirants in the contest, which took place across 21 wards in the constituency.

He expressed gratitude to the electorate for their confidence in his stewardship and acknowledged the leadership of the Emir of Lapai. Mamudu, who is currently serving as the chairman of the House Committee on Judiciary and has previously chaired the House Committee on Hydro-Electric Power, pledged to continue representing the interests of his constituents effectively.

He emphasized the importance of unity and development in the constituency and committed to working towards the growth and progress of Niger State. The primary election was conducted under the supervision of Alhaji Shuaibu Dare, who facilitated a consensus among the aspirants.
