Genk Signs Rafiu Durosinmi for Record €10.5 Million

Rafiu Durosinmi has officially completed his transfer to Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk from Italian club Pisa, signing a four-year contract that extends until June 2030. The 23-year-old striker joins Genk after a brief stint with Pisa, where he had previously established himself as a prolific forward at Viktoria Plzeň, scoring 35 goals and providing 10 assists in 86 appearances.

His impressive performances in both domestic and European competitions garnered interest from various clubs across Europe. KRC Genk secured his signature by paying a club-record fee of €10.5 million to Pisa.

This transfer comes as Genk seeks a long-term replacement for former Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare, who departed last summer. Durosinmi is set to become the 14th Nigerian player to represent Genk, following notable compatriots such as Paul Onuachu and Wilfred Ndidi.

He is expected to join his new teammates later this week.
