Rafiu Durosinmi Scores Again for KRC Genk in Pro League

Rafiu Durosinmi, a forward for KRC Genk, scored from the penalty spot in the ninth minute during a 4-0 victory against SK Beveren on Thursday night, marking his fourth consecutive goal in the Belgian Pro League. The 23-year-old's scoring streak reinforces his bid for a permanent position in the Nigeria national team as they prepare for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.

Durosinmi, who was signed for €10.5 million from Pisa on a four-year deal until June 2030, previously scored in matches against Zulte Waregem, Westerlo, and Royal Antwerp. He has publicly expressed his ambition to win the Golden Boot this season.

Durosinmi earned his first Super Eagles caps during the 2026 Unity Cup and has been granted permission to leave Nigeria’s camp ahead of an international friendly against Portugal. His consistent scoring makes him a strong candidate for selection as Nigeria's first-choice centre-forward.
