Giants of Africa Expands Basketball Courts in Rwanda

Giants of Africa, a non-profit organization co-founded by Dallas Mavericks Team President Masai Ujiri, opened three basketball courts across Rwanda this week, enhancing its Built Within programme's presence in all five provinces of the country. The courts were inaugurated on consecutive days in partnership with Rwanda’s Ministry of Sports: in Nyagatare, Eastern Province, on Tuesday; Musanze, Northern Province, on Wednesday; and Nyanza, Southern Province, on Thursday.
These new facilities will serve over 9,500 young people, students, and community members. The Nyagatare court is expected to benefit more than 600 individuals, while the Musanze court at GS Marie Reine Rwaza will cater to 900 students.
The Nyanza court at Igihozo St Peter will have the largest reach, serving 8,000 people. With these openings, Giants of Africa has established 53 courts in 16 African nations, moving closer to its target of 100 courts across the continent.
