Giants of Africa Opens 50th Basketball Court in Lagos

On May 25th, Giants of Africa, co-founded by Masai Ujiri, inaugurated its 50th basketball court at King's College in Lagos, marking a significant milestone in its mission to construct 100 basketball courts across Africa. The event celebrated the completion of a modern basketball facility within the school's grounds, combining basketball, music, and entertainment to create a memorable experience for students, parents, and community members.

Babalola, the Chief Executive Officer of Webber Engineering, which built the court, spoke at the unveiling ceremony. Ujiri described the occasion as a fulfillment of the organization's journey to empower young African basketball players.

The principal of King's College expressed gratitude for the project, urging students to take advantage of the opportunities basketball provides. Dr.

Owodip, representing the school's alumni association, celebrated the realization of a long-held dream for a modern basketball court. The event also included a women's basketball coaching clinic, reinforcing Giants of Africa's commitment to gender equity in sports.
