During the grand final of the National Girls ICT 2026 competition held in Abuja, Dr. Bosun Tijani, Nigeria's Minister of Communications, expressed confidence in the ability of young Nigerian girls to lead innovation and provide solutions to national challenges.

Aisha Bala, a student from the Special Education Centre in Bauchi, presented a mobile application designed to improve communication between deaf patients and healthcare providers, addressing significant barriers in medical treatment. The competition recognized various teams, with the Special Education Centre in Bauchi emerging as the top winner, followed by Federal Government Girls College, Calabar, and Reson Science School in Abia.
Mr. Kim Eunsub from KOICA urged young Nigerian girls to embrace technology and leadership roles in Africa's digital transformation.
