GITEX Nigeria 2026: Advancing Digital Transformation

The second edition of GITEX Nigeria, recognized as West Africa’s largest Tech, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Startup event, is scheduled to occur from August 31 to September 3, 2026, across Abuja and Lagos. The event is under the patronage of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and is supported by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

It is also endorsed by the Lagos State Government and organized by KAOUN International, the global organizer of GITEX events. The theme for this year’s event is ‘Beyond Connectivity, The Bridge to Sovereign Innovation’.

This initiative aligns with Nigeria's national digital transformation agenda, which is being propelled by landmark reforms aimed at translating future-oriented policy into measurable outcomes. The country is also addressing the growing demand for digital skills through the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme, which aims to expand Nigeria's national talent base.
