Tobi Amusan Advances to 100m Hurdles Final in Glasgow

Tobi Amusan qualified for the final of the women’s 100m hurdles at the 2026 Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow. She won her heat with a time of 12.19 seconds, marking the fastest time ever recorded at the Commonwealth Games and the third fastest in her career as the world record holder.

South Africa’s Marione Fourie finished second in the heat with a time of 12.50 seconds, while Jamaica’s Kerrica Hill placed third in 12.69 seconds. Amusan is set to compete for her third consecutive Commonwealth Games title in the final scheduled for later tonight, where she is considered the overwhelming favorite to retain her title.
