Ojelabi Urges APC Leaders to Strengthen Grassroots Unity

Cornelius Ojelabi, the chairman of the APC state chairmen forum, called on party leaders across Nigeria to strengthen grassroots structures and promote internal democracy during a meeting held over the weekend. He emphasized the need for unity within the party to consolidate its position ahead of the upcoming general elections.

Ojelabi described the gathering of the 36 APC state chairmen and their counterparts from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Lagos as an opportunity to deepen collaboration among party leaders and renew their commitment to the ideals of the APC. He highlighted the importance of maintaining harmony within the party and building enduring institutions that can sustain public trust.

Ojelabi urged party leaders to focus on strengthening the APC's internal democratic processes and mentoring emerging leaders. He expressed unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda and acknowledged the need for patience and resilience in implementing necessary reforms.

Professor Nentaw Yilwatda, the national chairman of the party, pledged cooperation with the state chairmen to build a stronger and more formidable party.
