GOC Babalola Urges Students to Make Responsible Choices

During the 2025/2026 Valedictory Service and Prize-Giving Ceremony at TA Lagbaja Cantonment, Ikeja, Major General Adebayo Abdulrahman Babalola, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, encouraged graduating students of Command Day Secondary School to make responsible decisions that will positively influence their futures and contribute to national development. Represented by Brigadier General A.O.

Owolabi, the GOC spoke on the theme “Making Responsible Choices in a Changing World,” urging students to embrace wisdom, integrity, and self-discipline as they transition to higher education and adulthood. He highlighted the importance of core values such as discipline and patriotism.

Lieutenant Colonel A.O. Akindele, the School Commandant, noted the school’s achievements, including being Overall Best at the 2026 81 Division Inter-Command Secondary Schools Sports Competition.

The event included prize presentations, cultural performances, and the unveiling of the school yearbook, attended by military officers, government officials, and other distinguished guests.
