GOC Babalola Launches Educational Projects in Lagos School

On Tuesday, Major General Adebayo Abdulrahman Babalola, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 81 Division Nigerian Army, inaugurated multiple educational and infrastructural projects at Command Day Secondary School in Oshodi, Lagos. The projects included a 300-seat Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre, a Mathematics Laboratory, a remodelled conference room, repainting of the school, refurbishment of a coaster bus, construction of students’ and staff furniture, and the procurement of 95 laptops, 55 ceiling and wall fans, and two refrigerators.

Babalola urged commanders to leave a lasting legacy through purposeful leadership and impactful initiatives, aligning with the Command Philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu. He emphasized the importance of these initiatives in providing a conducive learning environment for the children of military personnel and reaffirmed the commitment to their families' welfare.

Lieutenant Colonel DS Yakubu, the Commandant of the school, expressed gratitude for the support received from the GOC and the Nigerian Army in enhancing educational standards.
