GOC Babalola Inaugurates Key Projects at 81 Division

Major General Adebayo Abdulrahman Babalola, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 81 Division, Nigerian Army, addressed commanders during the inauguration of various infrastructural projects at the Headquarters, 81 Division Garrison, Dodan Barracks, Obalende, Lagos. He emphasized the need for commanders to demonstrate effective leadership by delivering projects that enhance operational efficiency and troop welfare.

The inaugurated projects included renovations of the Arm Store, Commanding Officer’s Administrative Office, Garrison Commander’s Office, Personal Assistant’s Office, and Commander’s Waiting Room, as well as the refurbishment of the Garrison Headquarters Complex and a new children’s playground. Babalola praised Brigadier General AI Getso for his leadership and highlighted the alignment of these initiatives with the Chief of Army Staff’s “Soldier First Culture” philosophy.

He insisted on the necessity of maintaining these facilities and stated that the children’s playground would be named in his honor. Getso acknowledged the contributions of various stakeholders in executing these projects.
