GOGIS DG Empowers 500 Gombe Residents with ₦35 Million

Dr. Kabiru Usman Hassan, the Director General of the Gombe Geographic Information System (GOGIS), launched an empowerment initiative benefiting 500 residents of Gombe State with a ₦35 million package.

This program, which took place over the weekend, aimed to provide financial assistance through cash grants and food distribution to strengthen small businesses and alleviate economic hardship. A total of 200 beneficiaries received cash support ranging from ₦50,000 to ₦150,000 to expand their businesses and improve their livelihoods.

Additionally, 265 individuals were provided with food items, including rice and spaghetti, to cushion the effects of rising living costs. Dr.

Hassan also sponsored housing rent payments for 20 individuals and supported the tuition fees of 15 others to enable them to continue their studies without disruption. The event attracted various stakeholders, including the APC state chairman, Amb.

Mose Kyari, and members of youth and women groups, highlighting a commitment to uplifting the community and aligning with the development-driven leadership of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
