Gombe Governor Launches Ramadan Food Palliatives

On a recent date, Gombe State Governor Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya officially launched a food palliative distribution program to support vulnerable households across the state during the holy month of Ramadan. This initiative is part of efforts to cushion the economic hardships faced by citizens, particularly during this significant religious period.

The program aims to assist 70,000 beneficiaries, including individuals living with disabilities, religious organizations, orphanages, and other vulnerable groups. Governor Yahaya emphasized the importance of this initiative in promoting charity and empathy, coinciding with the Christian Lenten season.

He urged citizens to engage in prayers for Nigeria's leadership under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The distribution process will be overseen by local government committees to ensure transparency and fairness.

The chairman of the state distribution committee, Alhaji Abdulkadir Moham Waziri, and Barrister Sani Ahmad Haruna, representing the 11 local government councils, pledged their commitment to the successful execution of this program.
