Yayari Backs Gwamna for Gombe Governorship in 2027

Hon. Ahmed Yayari, the former National Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has committed to supporting Dr Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 Gombe State governorship election. This pledge was made during a meeting in Gombe with APC stalwarts from Tumfure, Wuro Bobbo, NTA, and other areas of Akko Local Government Area, following Yayari's recent defection from the PDP.

The APC delegation, recognizing Yayari as a political asset due to his experience as the former Director-General of the campaign organization for former Gombe State Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, urged him to join their party. They expressed confidence that Yayari's defection and endorsement of Gwamna would enhance the APC's prospects in the 2027 elections, particularly as the areas represented by the delegation comprise 24 polling units.

Yayari affirmed his readiness to work diligently for Gwamna's victory, stating, “I am ready to work assiduously for the victory of Jamilu Gwamna as the next governor of Gombe State.”.
