Gombe Women’s Unity Summit Attracts Over 6,000 Participants

Dr. Zainab Jamil Gwamna, the wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Gombe State, convened the inaugural Gombe Women’s Unity and Progress Summit, which successfully gathered over 6,000 women from all 11 Local Government Areas and 13 Local Council Development Areas of Gombe State. The summit, held at the APC Square under the theme “Stronger Voices.

United Women, Greater Impact,” aimed to address issues affecting women's welfare, promote mentorship, and encourage participation in governance and socio-economic transformation. Dr. Zainab emphasized the importance of women supporting one another and creating opportunities for future generations.

She expressed gratitude to the women for their participation and acknowledged Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his initiatives supporting women and youths. Dr. Asma’u Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the wife of the Gombe State Governor, praised the summit's initiative and the turnout, reaffirming the government's commitment to empowering women and youths in the state.
