Gombe State Enhances Citizen Participation in Budgeting

The Gombe state government, alongside civil society organizations, is committed to fostering citizen participation, transparency, and accountability in the state’s budget and development processes. This commitment was articulated by the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Hon. Salihu Baba Alkali, through his representative, the Director of Budget, Muhammad Adamu, during the presentation of the 2025 Citizens’ Accountability Report to civil society organizations and community leaders in Gombe-north and Gombe-south senatorial districts on Friday.

The report underscores the government's dedication to transparent governance and aims to build public confidence. Participants were encouraged to engage actively by asking questions and providing feedback to enhance public resource management.
