Gombe Deputy Governor Welcomes PSC Team for Police Recruitment

On a recent occasion, Gombe State Deputy Governor Manassah Jatau Mondai received a delegation from the Police Service Commission (PSC), which is supervising the ongoing recruitment exercise for the Nigeria Police Force. Jatau commended President Bola Tinubu for addressing national security challenges through the recruitment of additional police personnel.

He praised the PSC for its commitment to ensuring a transparent and credible recruitment process, emphasizing the importance of adhering to established frameworks without deviation. Jatau highlighted the critical involvement of key stakeholders, including traditional rulers, whose knowledge of local community terrain enhances security initiatives.

He expressed confidence in the integrity of the PSC team, led by retired Supreme Court Justice Paul Galumj, who explained that the exercise is part of President Tinubu's directive to recruit 50,000 able-bodied Nigerians into the police force. Galumj emphasized the need for a free, fair, and credible recruitment process, warning against malpractices such as financial inducements.
