Gombe Scholars Endorse Governor Yahaya and Gwamna

Thousands of Qur’anic scholars and teachers in Gombe State expressed their confidence in the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and endorsed the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Jamilu Ishaku Gwamna. This endorsement occurred during a gathering organized by the Coalition of Tsangaya Teachers of Gombe State, which included participants from all 11 local government areas.

The scholars commended the administration for its significant contributions to learning infrastructure, healthcare, and the inclusion of Qur’anic education in government programs. They noted the establishment of modern Tsangaya schools and over 120 equipped study centers, which have improved learning conditions and provided opportunities for Almajiri students.

The enrollment of 1,000 Almajiris in the Gombe State Health Insurance Scheme was highlighted as a major welfare improvement. Chief of Staff Alhaji Inuwa Kari represented the governor, reaffirming the administration's commitment to education and promising fulfillment of all commitments to the Qur’anic education community.

The call for support was echoed by Prof. Abdullahi Garkuwa, Chairman of Gombe Local Government Area.
