Adebayo Calls for Unity at Gombe Ramadan Iftar

During a special Ramadan iftar gathering at Al Ahfad Mosque in Gombe, Princ Adewol Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), highlighted the coinciding of Ramadan and Lent as a unique opportunity for national rebirth. He addressed a gathering of Muslim and Christian clerics, urging Nigerians to embrace the core values of peace and justice inherent in both religions.

Adebayo emphasized that this period should be used for self-reflection and community accord, framing it as a time to redeem and renew faith. Chief Imam Dr. Umar Dokaji noted the importance of interfaith gatherings, especially in a country facing religious persecution and ethnic crises.

Rev. Abar Kalla, representing the Christian community, echoed the call for unity and support for vulnerable groups. The event aimed to demonstrate religious tolerance and prevent potential religious crises in Nigeria, the largest black nation on Earth.
