Ramadan and Lent: A Call for Unity and Renewal in Nigeria

On Wednesday, a statement was issued by Mr. Abimbola Tooki, the Special Adviser on Media and Communication Strategy to the APC National Chairman, regarding the commencement of Ramadan and Lent.

He congratulated both the Muslim and Christian communities in Nigeria on the start of their fasting periods, describing this rare convergence as a deeply significant time for spiritual renewal and sacrifice. Tooki highlighted the importance of these seasons in reinforcing the message of unity among Nigerians, regardless of religious affiliation, and emphasized that peace and coexistence are essential for national progress and stability.

He called on Nigerians to embody the virtues of discipline, humility, and love during these periods, fostering stronger bonds between Muslims and Christians. Furthermore, he expressed optimism that the current administration under President Bola Tinubu is undertaking reforms aimed at stabilizing the economy and society, encouraging collective prayer and sacrifice for the nation's challenges.
